New Digs equals new tenant

Over the winter we had some blue birds living in our birdhouse. Not quite sure what happened to them. My best guess is that they moved out to a higher treetop to make babies. Within days a little tiny and ever so gorgeous red squirrel moved in with bags packed of dry grass.

He suns baths regularly and eats a well balanced meal of acorns.

He must have sat there with just his head out for an hour. While we watched with binoculars he got very heavy, sleepy eyes.
