Country Asparagus Medley for the Common Folk...

This is adapted from an old Country Cookbook
bunch of asparagus
half bucket tray thingy of baby bella mushrooms
1/4 c onion
1/8 c pepper
3 large covers of garlic
2 tbsp of yellow mustard
olive oil or butter or promise or grape seed oil or ...


julienne a whole bunch of asparagus. Place in a fry pan cover with water by a half inch, bring to a boil. Boil uncovered for 8 minutes or until tender.
Drain water but leave 1 tbsp. of vitamin water for luck. return to the stove top. Add mushrooms, saute on med heat while stirring frequently as you stir you will...

in smaller sauce pan you are going to create a sauce... heat 2 tbsp of olive oil or butter or promise or grape seed oil or ...what ever it is you think is good for your waist line or heart; add pepper and onion. after a minute add the garlic ... Once softened add in the the mustard. Once mixed add the sauce together with the asparagus and mushrooms. all done.
