Ferry Beach Sate Park, Maine USA

Ferry Beach State Park is wonderful.  Mostly because it is nestled in a sweet spot in Maine with cute homes, tall trees and quite quiet during the wintertime.  Mostly wonderful because of where it leads to.  In the wintertime the parking lot is closed so you have to trek down a long paved road.  Once you get to the park part, if you haven't chosen to take any other trail along the way, you are given choices.  We always choose to head toward the wooden bridges.  In there it's as if you are transported to Louisiana.  Not the being in Maine is all that bad.  Its just nice to play pretend in there.  After we get our energy from that sector we switch around and head to the beach.  Which is extremely long and part of many many others, including, Ocean Park, Saco, Old Orchard Beach and Pine Point.
